Prior to becoming Realtors® in Alaska, Jim worked as an engineer in oil drilling for 30 years, while Betty managed rental home properties for 17 years. Their experiences have given them important skills in planning, budgeting, marketing and construction, which they are eager to share with their clients. Together, Jim and Betty have created Alaska Gem Homes and offer superb service, local knowledge from their seven years in Alaska and proven experience.

In their free time, both members of the Alaska Gem Homes team are actively involved in their Church and their community by participating in and serving in a variety of organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, the local senior center, Bear Paw, the Elmendorf Housing office as volunteer Realtors®, and by supporting local food drives.
